So I'm another year older, and another year wiser. I'm currently experiencing electronic music burnout, so [as I've learned with age] I'm taking a break after returning deathly ill from Coachella. Richie Hawtin was finally great to see, but for some reason I was still a little disappointed. I hope these feelings are temporary, because I'm really struggling to enjoy electronic music like I did when I created this site. I know that in time, the old Jason will prevail and I'll put more effort into DJing...right now I'm just waiting for that one album to get me hooked again...see you later.

3/11/07Another successful performance at Mercury on Friday...some thank you's to Dylan, Brandon B, and Robi for making it a fantastic evening. It seems like that place is going to have trouble containing the crowd in the upcoming months. There is nothing quite like playing a small venue with a good group of supporters! Radio show and Diggers on Tuesday night...help me celebrate the evasion of a nearly catastrophic external hard-drive failure.
2/16/07I hate the feeling of being stuck between skyways in the Minneapolis arctic. Luckily, Louis landed a job here so we can explore the scene here this weekend [TIYP, HIYB represent]...[I would say it is on par with the scene back in STL]. Oh, I also forgot to mention that Dylan and Robi have graciously allowed me to join forces with them and "UnitOvOne." That being said, there will most likely be more frequent gigs in the near future. I will venture up to Vital Vinyl a couple times during my stay to do some shopping in an actual record store [something I have been dearly missing in STL]. Home in one week!
1/29/07Long time no update. Hope you are all still hanging in there...my radio show will swing back into gear tomorrow [1/30/07]. Additionally, I encourage everyone in the STL area to show up for BLACK! this Friday at the Upstairs Lounge. I have been wanting to play there for well over a year now, and finally I have my chance. 1/3/07Happy new year! This year we will hopefully see the entire nation engulfed by the rising tide of funky minimal [tech-house/techno]. I have a feeling that the music selection of many major DJs will take a turn toward darker, funkier techno and tech-house. The minimal fad has come and gone in Europe, but American DJs are generally a year or two behind the trends that occur in the electronic dance music scene. Anyway, many of the newer tracks I am hearing these days are moodier, deeper, and more expansive. Some of the sounds almost bring me back to the Sasha/Digweed Northern Exposure and Expeditions era...a style that I am very happy to embrace. On that note, everyone should check out Digweed coming later this Spring to STL!
12/16/06Added some reviews today. They are from the heart, so hopefully nobody is too offended by them. Just trying to get my point across. I had a gig at mercury last night, which went fairly well. I was very happy with my set, too bad I didn't get a recording :(
12/6/06So I have been ridiculously busy with work lately...slacking on the production end of things. I also have no definite gigs set up at the moment :( However, there is word of some solid events early next year. I will post the dates when they are confirmed. I will get this album review section of the website started soon, so get excited for the first super-elitist-ultra-prententious-snobberific review of the month.
11/10/06Added another mix and a classic picture. I decided a few weeks ago that I am going to start reviewing an electronic album of the month. I finally had a day off work today [just finished up with some training in Minneapolis], so I figured I'd take some time to update the website.
